I like snow. I really do. I could sit down with a cup of coffee/hot cocoa, good reading material, and a warm blanket in front of a window with calm falling flakes and I couldn’t be happier. I could stare out of the window, for what seems like, forever.
But there are always “two sides to a coin.” As beautiful as it is, snow happens to cause a lot of problems.
Right now, the roads right now are horrible - and that’s an understatement.
I decided to brave the traffic while I left UW @ 330pm earlier today. I’m lucky enough to have a car that has 4 wheel drive, so I feel a lot safer (at least driving anyway). Then my plans basically evaprated.
Wuhhadhappenwuz, I sat in traffic, for a very long time. On Montlake, specifically. The onramp to 520 was backed up realllllly bad. So I decided to take Montlake up to Madison. By the time I get to Madison, about 75mins pass. I was So Appalled /kanyewest. I decided to stay at the Box on Cap Hill instead to let traffic die down and get all the bad drivers off the road. Got my workout in and left Cap Hill @ 7pm and took the back roads heading to Re’in.
And at this very moment, while I sit in traffic, and after typing all of this (HTML coding and all) on my iPhone I have moved a total of 10 car lengths. If the roads were clear, and I was in the same exact spot I am now, I’d be home in ~10mins, tops.
Snow is cool
I left UW at 330 and haven’t made it home to Renton yet.
I hate snow.
This is, potentially, the most foolish act of my life, up until now. I could easily have kept this link to myself (as xanga was mentioned in conversation earlier, I remembered my old page)..but I really don’t give a fuck right now. This was me as a kid, when I was finishing up HS, graduating, through my summer before the first year of college +some. I was still in the process of growing up, with a little bit a lot of work ahead of me. Not much I would want to relive, but nothing I’d want to forget.
Going through old stuff like this is quite a trip (Like really, I had no idea how horrible I typed/talked back then). To see how you used to be (or possibly, how you haven’t even changed). Guaranteed it’ll make you smile & cringe from embarrassment at the same time.
fun fact: Before I met Brian Caylao, and before we became good friends, he had actually commented on one of my posts. He was a shoe head in HS, just like I was. I still can recall him mentioning it for the first time after one of our FASA meetings @ UW.
dope cover. female vocals made the song that much better, imo
I’m not the biggest fan of FM (ask CP)..actually, I wouldn’t even call myself a fan…but yes, the female vocals (especially when they harmonize) are craaazzzy good. I actually ripped the audio from the youtube vid just so I could have an mp3 version haha

While no road is ever straight, dedication and persistence will always lead you to your dreams.”—[Can’t remember where I found this but it has always been one of my favorite quotes.] (via sheenajoy)
